The core Integrated Services for Young People priorities include supporting the pan-London implementation of commitments laid out in the Government document “Youth Matters: Next steps” that are now also encapsulated within a broader 10 Year Strategy for Youth.
The work also focuses on the development of the London Youth Offer in partnership with the Mayor’s office and the London Development Agency (LDA) to ensure that all young people have access to a range of positive activities and opportunities which enhance and promote the best possible outcomes in each of the 5 areas of Every Child Matters.
The Youth agenda is broad and also includes the work being taken forward around Young People and Substance Misuse, Teenage Pregnancy and Youth Justice. This also incorporates the London Youth Crime Prevention Board and the work of the Training and Development Agency on Targeted Youth Support.
The Improvement and Development Agency (IDEA) have established a Performance Indicator 'Browser'. This is a list of National Indicators (NIs) with a library of associated documents such as case studies of best practice. It shows examples of best practice that Local Authorities have implemented in relation to specific NIs.
