This new guidance entitled Safeguarding Children and Safer Recruitment in Education was issued 14 November 2006. The guidance is a consolidated version of earlier guidance material
This is the third joint chief inspectors? review of arrangements to safeguard children. It was led by Ofsted on behalf of the eight inspectorates involved in regulating and inspecting services for children and young people.
This guidance sets out those key arrangements for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. It applies to all those key local people and bodies named under section 11(1) of the Children Act 2004.
