Hello! I'm writing from Education For Choice, the only UK agency dedicated to ensuring all young people can make and act on their own choices on pregnancy and abortion. Education For Choice's work with young people has been recognised as a best practice model by the Government's Independent Advisory Group on Sexual Health and HIV. Education For Choice often gets questions from professionals seeking support around the sensitive issues of teenage pregnancy and abortion. We're here to help. We provide support and resources to all professionals working with young people and to young people themselves. Young people interested in becoming advocates for young people's right to good quality education and support around sexual health and pregnancy choices should contact kate [at] efc.org.uk (replace the [at] with an @ sign- this is to avoid spam!). For professionals, EFC provides: - training (on how to talk to young people about pregnancy choices and how to support pregnant young people, see http://www.efc.org.uk/Forprofessionals/Training) - resources (many of which are FREE- see http://www.efc.org.uk/Forprofessionals/Resources) - workshops for young people in inner London schools and other settings (http://www.efc.org.uk/Forprofessionals/Workwithyoungpeople) - ad hoc advice and information around best practice provision of education around pregnancy and abortion and around pregnancy decision-making Don't hesitate to get in touch! Our website also has great links to other sexual health organisations.
