Camden’s first-ever Youth Council elections took place from 4 – 15 February 2008, following a hugely successful launch and consultation evening at the Town Hall.
More than 300 young people took part in the 'Our Young Camden' event, which featured Big Brother-style diary room consultation sessions, a ‘talkaoke’ round-table discussion as well as a series of debates and performances.
Participant Zahid Miah, 18, said: “The Youth Council will give young people the opportunity to voice their opinions on what they need.”
