Making integrated services work: joining up your workforce strategies

Date: 23 September 2008

This event is a free joint event in partnership with London Councils, Communities and Local Government, Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) and Department of Health (DH).

You will have the chance to:

- hear how partnerships are working together and managing to join up their local  workforce strategies
- discuss the key workforce challenges in integrating services and how councils and their partners are tackling these
- hear about practical models and approaches to integrated cross-agency workforce planning
- learn examples from across London, including the pilot work from Barnet around integrated working in children’s services and adult social care
- hear a keynote speech from Leo Boland, London Borough of Barnet’s Chief Executive.
Workshops will share practice form across London. This will provide an opportunity for participants to ask questions, feed in their own experience and discuss how shared issues might be tackled.
