Supporting the Health and Wellbeing of London's Looked after children

Held on Friday 16th October, at the Wellcome collection conference centre, this event was well attended by a range of delegates working to improve health outcomes for London's looked after children.
The event was the culmination of a piece of scoping work by the Government office for London, looking to identify emerging practise around health of Looked after children, particularly around increasing access to CAMHS, Sexual health, Immunisations and vaccinations, Annual health checks and general wellbeing.
This work has been compiled into an emerging practise guide: 'Promoting the health and wellbeing of London's Looked after children - a guide to emerging practice'. Hard copies of this report are available from Amy Wilkinson Email: amy.wilkinson@gol.gsi.gov.uk
A range of postive feedback and interesting ideas came out of the event that we will be looking to take forward across London.
