Improvement Support Protocol
In July 2007 the Department of Children Schools and Families outlined its vision for the deployment of Field Forces in the Field Force Improvement Support Protocol; coordination of this vision s to be undertaken by Government Offices. Since July 2007 GOL has undertaken the following key events with parties signed up to the protocol to which includes the following:

Sept 07: Field Force Conference to develop arrangements to work in a better coordinated & tailored way

Oct 07: Roundtable Stock Take meetings on local priorities

Nov 07: Priority Meetings with Local Authorities

Further activities are planned and these are outlined in the Local Area Engagement Cycle – our programme of field force events for 07/08.

    Field forces have a key role in supporting and delivering the vision for the DCSF and need new arrangements to coordinate better, tailored and targeted improvement support to local authorities. This protocol sets out a framework for their deployment.
