Young London Matters and Young People's Involvement

Each of the Young London Matters strands has a role to champion and listen to children and young people when developing and delivering their work programmes and across all strands aims to improve outcomes through:

  • Raising the profile of children and young people's issues through existing vehicles such as Local Area Agreements, Joint Area Reviews and Children and Young People’s Plans.
  • Embedding and highlighting existing good practice, particularly that which supports the engagement of vulnerable groups and disadvantaged communities.
  • Supporting the development of local and regional arrangements for giving children and young people access to guidance and support to make informed choices about their lives.
  • Develop approaches to supporting parental engagement in decision making.
Promoting positive images of London's young people
